Pie Tasting A Hit

Today we tasted four different types of pie. We tasted sweet potato, pumpkin, apple and chocolate. Yummo! Our students selected their favorite pie and together tallied the results. We then took that data and used it to complete a "pie chart!" What a fun way of learning math in room 78!

Food Drive

Dear Parents,

Our school is collecting can food and other non-perishable food items for those in need. We will be partnering with our partner church, The Church at Argyle to help fill up their food pantry. The Church at Argyle feeds families right here in our neighborhood everyday! We believe that this will be a great way for our students to work together in a positive way and help those in need!

Here is a suggested donation list:

Canned Meals: Stews, Soups, Tuna, Ravioli, Lasagna, etc. (Pop-top cans a plus!)
Peanut Butter, Canned Vegetables
Grains: Cereal, Rice, Pasta and Dried Beans
Fruits: Fruit cups, Dried Fruit, Applesauce, 100% Juice and Juice Boxes
Rice, Pasta and Dried Beans
Kid-Friendly Items: Granola Bars, Popcorn, Graham or Animal Crackers, Fat-free/Sugar-free Pudding Cups
Baby Products: Diapers, Wipes, Formula, Infant Cereal
Hygiene Items: Toothpaste, Feminine Products, Shaving Items, Hand Sanitizer, Soap, etc.
Paper Products: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, etc

Boxes will be set up in each classroom. Students may bring in as few or as many items as they wish! The last day to send in items is Wednesday, November 16th.
